The Book
Book · No. 26 · Playing card ♦10 · Secrets, knowledge, learning
The card
A book. In most versions it is closed — and that is what decides the meaning.
Traditional meaning
Traditionally the Book is secrecy, the unknown and learning. A closed book means it has not been opened yet.
How to read it
The Book is "not known yet": something is being kept, or knowledge has not been acquired. It is the deck’s classic "no answer for now" card — not that there is no answer, but that it has not been opened. It also means study, research, education and written material.
In context
Love
The other person is holding something back, or part of the relationship is unknown.
Work
Study, training, research; or confidential and unannounced projects.
Timing
Known only once it opens; no fixed time.
