Grey is black mixed with white — neutrality, the "middle way" that leans neither side. That is the core teaching of Temperance: refuse the extremes, find balance between opposites.

The great red wings stand for drive and life energy, reminding you that real reconciliation is not stillness but a balance full of movement.

Triangle within a square on the chest
The square stands for the material world (the four elements) and the golden triangle inside it for sacred spirit — spirit appearing and working inside a material body, "as in heaven, so in man" in miniature.
Flowing cups
The water runs diagonally between the two cups against gravity, standing for a supernatural conversion of energy. It is the constant exchange and fusion of conscious and subconscious, yin and yang.

Feet on water and land
One foot in the water of the subconscious, one on the ground of consciousness. It marks a perfect footing between spiritual intuition and material reality — planted on the earth, eyes on the stars.
Yellow irises
Iris in Greek myth is the goddess of the rainbow and messenger of the gods. Yellow stands for wisdom: the vitality and hopeful communication that moderation brings.
Path toward the crown
The distant mountain path leads to a glowing crown, standing for the ultimate goal of the soul's evolution. Temperance is not the destination but the practice that must be walked to reach higher realisation.
