Yes/No Spread

This spread ignores position meanings and counts uprights and reversals: upright = a resource, leaning "yes"; reversed = a problem, leaning "no". All upright = yes, all reversed = no; mixed, go with the majority and read what the reversed card is warning about.

  1. Card 1

    No order among them — read all three together. Upright counts one vote for "yes", reversed one for "no".

  2. Card 2

    Same. In a mixed spread, read the reversed card on its own — it is the pitfall inside the "yes".

  3. Card 3

    Same. Count the three: the majority sets the leaning, the reversed card sets what to watch out for.

COMMON MISREADINGS

  • Calling "no" on a single reversal — this spread reads the majority; a reversed card is a caution, not a veto.
  • Reporting only "yes/no" without reading the cards — the reversals spell out the why-not and the uprights the resources; discarding them wastes the reading.
  • Using yes/no for "which one" — a comparison of two options does not fit a three-card tally; use Two Choices.
